A company of man
The social science says man is a social animal. It is true
because man cannot live alone without company. He needs
association with people. Thus family, society is created. Man is
engaged within their ranges throughout his life. In worldly
pursuits he forgets his mission of being brought in this world. He
limits himself the objective or material world which depends on
logics of science. In the run of finding the ways of material
happiness
he forgets that the logic of science has a limited arena. The area
where logic of science ends spirituality starts. The logic of
science does work within the five elements called water, fire,
space, air and earth. The scientist is not able to create natural
air, natural rain, water and fire.
It is only the super human power or god who is able to create
these things. In order to find the god path we must take the path
of spirituality. Spiritual path is the only path to make us
realize our self. Spirituality says that man is not an animal
because animals are born with cruelty as a nature and spend their
life in a cruel way. But cruelty is not man's nature.
Love is the one and only nature of man. Man is the best and the
highest creation of the divine. Even though he may be born with
cruelty, he can get rid of it by adopting the spiritual practice.
The world is like a divine garden where men are the flowers with
beauty and fragrance. They are like stars which decorate the blue
sky at night. Her, stars mean the light of wisdom and knowledge
that God has gifted to every man. If he tilts to the spiritual
side then only he could act wisely and use his knowledge for the
welfare of the living being. Spirituality makes him realize love
for everyone and equal mindedness. Man is born to love and serve
others. To bring out the love principle which is kept in the heart
of each and everyman at the time of birth? Man only needs to stir
it by help of selfless service and purity of mind and body. Where
it is stirred properly it is spread and his every action will be
sweet and sacred like sugar. Man must not be confused with the
termed religion and spirituality. Religion means the rituals,
customs and traditions followed by different groups of
people. The realization of self is spirituality. So spirituality
means the conduct and character. Pure thought, pure vision and
sacred work are spirituality. Spiritual practice opens the eyes of
wisdom. Spiritual
practice does not mean merely sitting at a corner and closing eyes
for long hours. It is just waste of time. Avoidance of bad
Company, association with the people having good and sacred
thought , engaging oneself in meritorious acts and remembering
always the distinction between the transient (world) and the
permanent (God) are the examples of spiritual practice.
Bad company does not mean the external friends who act selfishly
on our bad days. The sense organs and mind are the topmost
dangerous things. With lust, anger, hatred and ego they try to
pollute man's intellect. So if a man wants to redeem oneself he
must control the sense organs and mind and stop doing according to
them. Good company is the intellect which god has given to every
man as a gift. If man uses intellect and discriminative power he
could always act wisely and his work always makes himself and
people around blissful and happy. He needs external good company
too because they burn and sharpen his intellect like gold and
blade by their pure thoughts and good
conduct. Man should always realize that he is born in this world
to serve others. If he works selflessly and with pure heart his
work itself becomes a spiritual practice and it leads him very
close to the super power i.e. God.
God is the only source from where man comes, so a man's only
destination is to go back to its source. Between the birth and
death there are two stages of every man has to pass through. They
are growth and decay. During these two periods if he remembers
God, keeps him in his heart and does every work forgetting his
self for the welfare of other being, his every action become
worship and thus he will be able to be free from the cycle of
rebirth and attains liberation i.e. his ultimate goal.
But now a day's man has forgotten his greatness. He is ignorant
about the divinity within. So he is deeply drowned in the company
of his sense organ and mind. He acts according to his minds and
does what his sense organs order. He is merged in lust, anger,
greed and ego. BY :- Sujan
