WILL WE???
Days gave into nights
And seasons changed
People hoped for a better day
With the every morning ray
We prayed and prayed
Lighted thousand candles
To stop violence and scandal
But never, I think never,
Will peace again come ever?
On this land, my land
And will we again walk hand in hand
Will we???
Not long ago
Just few days, week or so,
I could smell sweetness in the air
And hear laughter here
But now again
I hear people crying in pain
I smell of gun fire instead
And I see people dead
On this land, my land
Will again an innocent have to pay?
The price of being innocent
Will we never stop this???
The earth, the soil of my land
As I took a handful on my hand
And brought it near my nose
Its smell of purity rose
To warm my heart and soul
But today we're not whole
I smell blood in the same soil
And my heart turns cold
In the stillness of the night sky
There's again the hostility that cry
I also cry
But for different reasons
I cry for those who've suffered
My tears run for the children
Whose fathers have died
Today for a widow I cried
For an old mother of a dead son I cried
For the false hope of a father I cried
I cried for all these
And for more
I cried for peace
We've become greedy for peace
And will peace again come ever
On this land, my land
And will we again walk hand in hand???
Will we??? Will we??? Will we???
